In October 1985 a gang from The Golden Lion, Penybanc, Ammanford did a charity walk to raise funds for the Friends of Glanaman Hospital.

The walk started from Glanaman and ended in the Golden Lion in Penybanc. The gang dresssed in fancy dress and visited every pub to collect money for the cause. The walk raised £700 for Glanaman Hospital.
