These photos of Tycroes Fish and Chip Shop were taken by my mother (Beryl Morgan) in the early 1980s.

In the 1960s the grocery and chip was known as Beryl’s. The building was closed in the 1970s. It reopened in 1980.

When it reopened it was popular with the children on Tycroes. The Asteriods and Donkey Kong video game machines were a big attraction.

In 1982 a new fish and chip shop was built next to the existing building. The old fish and chip shop was demolished in June 1983.
