This is a photo of a presentation concert was held at the Welfare Hall, Tycroes in 1970 when Nurse E. Davies was handed a cheque on behalf of the villagers of Tycroes by Miss Lizzie Mary Davies. Nurse Davies had recently retired after more than 20 years of nursing in the village. She was given a bouquet by Mrs Beryl Morgan. (My mother was chosen as she was the first baby that Nurse Davies delivered in the village).
